Last week the Chairman of Atlantic Records, Julie Greenwald, was named the #1 Woman in music. I’m constantly proud of the company I work for, and am always amazed by the strength of our leadership. It’s a big part of why I’ve stayed at Atlantic longer than any other job I’ve ever had. And if anyone had any doubts about the importance of digital to Atlantic, or our industry, you need to read the article. The third of four paragraphs talks about our growing D2C business, increased web traffic, and the mobile website project Mike Mignano, Rob Beatty and I have been working on over the last few months. An exciting time to be in music and I look forward to reading about how our company has progressed a year from now when she claims the top spot again.
