Font By Toyota

An amazing video on the Toyota site where a group of interactive artists used motion tracking, a car and an empty warehouse to create a new font. The car was tagged with four different color coded trackers and used an overhead camera to convert its motion into shapes. A custom piece of software then converted [...]

Stupid Name. Cool Brushes!

The title says it all. Brusheezy is a great site for downloading free Photoshop brushes and patterns and voting on your favorites. It’s a mixed bag as far as quality, and there is no categorization or searching, but all in all there are a lot of great sets if you are patient. Get free Photoshop [...]

Marcus Buck Photography

Do yourself a favor and dig into this simple Flash website featuring the beautiful photography of Marcus Buck. I highly recommend checking out his series of photographs showing the outlines that buildings leave after they have been torn down. To get there click “Freie Arbeiten” then “Restarchitektur”. Such beautiful images.

They are higher priced than some of their competitors, but their appeal is being able to print several different images in the same run. You can even hook into your Flickr account and have a differnt image on each card [...]

Robert Rauschenberg

One of my favorite artists, and a huge influence on everything I have created as a designer and an artist, has died today of heart failure at the age of 82. His retrospective at MOMA was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen, and his show of new work at PaceWildenstein in Chelsea showed the breadth of [...]
