Tonight Atlantic Records, Ustream and Cisco EOS are broadcasting “Killers, Lasers, Papers” – a live multi-artist concert from SXSW. The show is being streamed live from KillersLasersPapers.com as well as the official websites for each of the artists involved – Donnis, B.o.B, Janelle Monae, and Wiz Khalifa. Each artist is playing a full set, with interviews in-between performances and realtime photos streaming to the homepage of KillersLasersPapers.com. All five sites live on the Cisco EOS platform and were produced by the Atlantic and WEA design/dev teams.

In addition to the new AtlanticRecords.com launch last week, we also relaunched Studio1290.com, our studio session site for Atlantic Records.

The Atlantic Records Digital Media department has a small studio in our offices helmed by Rob Robinson (audio engineer) and Chetan Patel (director, cameraman, editor) that produces the amazing video content that populates the new Atlantic site and our artist websites. Studio1290.com is a catalogue of the HD sessions the studio has produced for Atlantic artists over the last year.

This may have been up for a while, but it’s new to me. We’ve been working closely with Adobe for a few years on their multi-screen initiatives and are now officially a member of the Open Screen Project. Were listed among some pretty impressive partners and are glad to be part of the project.

In addition to this, we are part of a concept video on the OSP homepage. The first video in the carousel titled “Fun with Friends” includes a conceptual mockup of what our AIR Application Fanbase could look like in the future. It’s just a concept at this point, but is fun to see. The folks at Adobe did an amazing job putting this together.

Check it out.

Today Brightcove announced the availability of their platform on smartphones powered by Adobe’s upcoming Flash Player 10.1 for mobile devices. With some help from our video and studio team we were able to update Kidrock.com and Shinedown.com to work with the new player, as well as creating a mobile version of our studio website Studio1290 using Brightcove’s new mobile video player. While the technology is still in beta, we at Atlantic are really excited about the possibilities of this new distribution method.
