Today I was on an amazing panel at the 2010 NARM Convention discussing the use of applications in the music industry. While the focus was on mobile apps, we discussed desktop apps, widgets and the mobile web as well. The panel was moderated by Tom Constabile from Verizon Wireless and contained experts in design, development, and publishing. It was a great honor to be included in a healthy debate on an important part of the music business. I’ll be posting a link here once the video is online.

I Fight Dragons Website Launch
Thursday, April 22nd, 2010Today Atlantic Records, Photofinish Records and the WMG D2C team launched a new website for the Chicago based band I Fight Dragons. The six piece band plays Chiptune-Rock, which is one half rock music and one half original music made using old videogame soundcards from the Game Boy and NES.
Beyond a fun site designed in house by Edith Levin, IFightDragons.com features a great 8-bit inspired Flash game and keyboard shortcuts for navingating the site.

Shinedown Website Launch
Wednesday, April 21st, 2010Today we launched a new website for Shinedown. Shinedown.com was one of the first sites we built at Atlantic (over two years ago) that was a community and focusing heavily on UGC and the direct connection with fans and artists. Since then we’ve launched 30+ sites on the Cisco EOS platform and it’s great to finally see this band move over and benefit from all of our learnings. We’ve also implemented both Twitter’s @anywhere and Facebook’ s Open Graph. Designed in house by Edith Levin developed by Mike Mignano and the WMG D2C team.
